text 21 Jan It feels so good

I love doing that as well. I tip at about 50% on my haircuts. I figure, if they spend 30 min. on my haircut, how is a $15 haircut supposed to give them a decent wage (after they take out overhead, profit for the store, etc.)? [I go cheap on my hair :D] Today, haircuts were on sale, so I tipped at almost 100%. As a result, they do a stellar job, chat it up, and even style it.

to be able to tip well at a restaurant.

Every now and then I go out to eat by myself at Macaroni Grill. I sit at the bar to take advantage of the great happy hour food prices. I love leaving and giving them a tip well above 50%. I only go when I have that extra money, and it pays off, the bartender who is usually there, every now and then gives me my drink for free.
It’s not a hugeee tip considering the food I’d 2.99 per dish, of which I typically at least dishs, but it’s enough.
It makes me feel good, and helps them out.

text 5 Jan Returning Items to a Store: A How To.

andreasjp:

**None of these apply to returning something to Walmart, since everyone knows you can return anything there, no matter what**

1. Have the item you are looking to return.

2. Have the receipt for the item you are looking to return.

3. Read the receipt and read the terms and conditions and the return policy.

4. Have the original packaging for the item you are looking to return.

5. Expect payment back in whatever form it was taken. Credit card, cash, gift card. If you do not have the credit card made for the original purchase, expect store credit or a gift card.

6. If you are you looking to exchange for something else, know what item that is.

7. Be prepared, think, read, and use common sense.

Thanks World.

If everyone had this knowledge (and applied it), my job would be SO much easier! :D

text 28 Sep honestly.

andreasjp:

when the women fought for their rights, did they bring mops, brooms, dustpans, kitchen sinks, sud buckets, wachine machines, wash boards, ironing boards, and sewing machines with them?

when the blacks fought for their rights, did they bring a cotton gin, straw hat, overalls, berry picking bucket, their master’s children with them?

NO. they came as normal, everyday people, fighting to have the same rights as normal, everyday people.

so if the gay community wants those same rights, stop acting like the stereotype. put on some cloths, leave the angel wings at home, don’t bedazzle your face, stop the dancing and grinding, and then maybe, just maybe someone might actually take you seriously.

this isn’t the thanksgiving day parade, it’s a march. if you want the same rights as everybody else, prove that you can be just as in control and respectful as others have been. i’m not saying change who you are, but just shut up and march. stop making it a big flaming production and take it seriously.

have a little self-respect.

I totally agree. Let’s get out there in our business-casual, modest clothing with a rational attitude. Even the most non-vanilla must have a day job and equality is a job, not a party. Where is our Rosa Parks, our Cesar Chavez?
